From 4DWiki
PowerSchool is a Web-based application for school districts written using 4D. Originally created by Greg Porter in the mid-90's, PowerSchool was acquired by Apple in 2000, and sold by Apple to Pearson in June 2006. PowerSchool is used to run several thousand school districts in the United States, comprising many thousands of schools and several million students. Administrators, teachers, parents, and students access their PowerSchool systems to maintain attendance, grades, and other student information.
