Softek Design
From 4DWiki
Softek Design, Inc. was founded by Michael White in 1985. The company published the A4 Accounting Program, offering an open source license and custom design.
In 1987, Michael was fortunate to meet with Scott Knaster, co-founder of Acius. Scott presented a demo of 4D which at the time was codenamed Silver Surfer. After the demo, Michael stopped all coding in Double Helix, choosing to wait for the release of 4D.
In 1996, Softek Design sold the A4 asset to Wayne Carlson of the newly formed company Softec LLC.
